Abstract

639,680. Radiators for heating buildings. ALLEN & SONS (TIPTON), Ltd., W. G., WEDDELL, A. and BRIGHTSIDE FOUNDRY & ENGINEERING CO. Ltd. Oct. 11, 1947, No. 27329. [Class 64(ii)] A radiant panel heater for circulation of fluid at more than 200‹ F. and 15 lbs. per sq. in. - comprises several lengths 2 of metal tube joined by webs or plates 5 welded or brazed at 6 to the peripheries of the tube lengths. The lengths of tube may connect to end headers (not - shown) or: be formed by a single, sinuous tube. As shown, the sinuous tube is reinforced by strips 8 welded to the end bends 7. The panel may be curved and one side may be lagged, e.g. with glass wool held in position by a casing.
