639,298. Dry shavers. KOOPERATIVA FORBUNDET FORENING, U.P.A., and BRANDER, B. J. March 1, 1948, No. 6414. [Class 131] In an electric dry shaver, comprising a cutter, rotating on an axis at right angles to the plane of an exterior, co-operating, grid, the grid is carried by a sleeve which is supported by, and slides co-axially upon, a fixed, coextensive sleeve. As shown, the cutter blades 3 are rotated by the shaft 4 of an electric motor and the grid 7 is carried by the outer sleeve 8, the inner sleeve 9 being secured to the casing 2 and having apertures 10 which can be exposed for the evacuation of cut hairs by axial displacement of the outer sleeve. The outer sleeve can be removed entirely when it is desired to clean or adjust the blades. In a modification apertures in the inner and outer sleeves may be aligned by rotation of the movable sleeve, a spring clip device preventing axial movement and limiting the rotation. In a further modification the movable sleeve supporting the grid may be inside the stationary sleeve.
