[Class 39 (iii)] An electric cooker for food comprises a flat, heatconductive pan 16 for the food, and a lid having a heating unit 1 adapted to radiate heat into the pan 16, the lid having a heat-radiating and conducting lower surface 2, and making heat-conducting connection with the pan 16. A metal plate 4 is secured to the heating unit 1 by a screw 3, a cover 6 enclosing the whole. A rest 11 having a plate 12 and cooling holes 14 is fixed to the top of the lid, to enable it tc be inverted and used alone as a hot plate.
