[Class 66] [Also in Group XIII] A casing 1 encloses a cooking vessel to direct hot gases against the sides of the vessel during heating, and, with a lid and a base, to retain h e a t afterwards, for which an electric heater may be incorporated to compensate for heat loss. The casing 1 may be of low thermal conductivity and/or low emissivity, e.g. of asbestos covered on one or both sides with tinnlate 2 turned inwardly at 3 and upwardly at 6 to support a similar casing, etc. on the top. There may be a handle 8, a recess 7 to receive the handle of a cooking vessel, and detachable bars near the bottom, recessed to centralize a cooking vessel placed on them.
