Abstract

634,021. Refuse bins. TREECE, J. W. March 6, 1948, No. 6969. [Class 26] In a refuse bin the lid 5 is attached to the body 6 by a pair of oppositely disposed foldable linkages each comprising two arms 7, 7a pivoted at one end 7b to each other, and at the other ends 7c, 7d to the lid and body respectively. The pivots 7c, 7d are carried by vertically aligned fixing plates 5a, 6a adjacent the beaded rims of the lid and body. The lid may be moved to a substantially vertical position against one side of the body and below its top, or a projection 6c may coact with one or both arms 7a to arrest the lid in a partially dropped position on the other side.
