[Class 114] The operating piston 16 of a ship's variablepitch propeller is carried inside the pinion 3 of the reduction gear driving the propeller shaft. Operating fluid is led to a central plug 18 of a distributing device to convey fluid to each side of the piston as desired, this distributing device being controlled'by the lever 25.
