596,035. Propellers. ESCHER WYSS MASCHINENFABRIKEN AKT.-GES. July 16, 1945, No. 18133. Convention date, Aug. 5, 1944. [Class 114] Hydraulic control for variable pitch propellers comprises a servomotor 6, 6<1>, 62, 6<8> having a stationary piston 6<1>, 62 in which is situated a pump 12, 13 driven by an electromotor and a moving casing 6, all positioned inside the propeller shaft 4. Means 25, 28 and 29 can release the wheel 21, which may also be rotated by hand, to vary the pitch of the blades. The wheel 21 may be prevented from. rotating as long as the pump does not deliver by a locking device 24, 25.
