Abstract
628,997. Gas cooking stoves. RADIATION, Ltd., LAKE, F., and HARRISON, D. Dec. 9, 1946, No. 36288. [Class 126] A gas heated hotplate or a fitting for location in a hole in a hotplate comprises a flat-topped vessel support connected by radial ribs to the periphery of an aperture bounded by a narrow lip the upper surface of which is below the flat-topped vessel support. A hotplate fitting is cast and is supported in an apertured recess 3 in a recess 2 in the hotplate 1 by means of lugs 10 which may be raised at their outer ends to the level of the flat-topped vessel support 8 in order to provide support for larger vessels. The radial ribs 9 are flush at their inner ends with the vessel support 8 which they join to the lip bounding the aperture 7. One or more ribs 9 may be extended to the edge of the hotplate fitting and the outer ends raised to the level of the support 8 to provide supplementary vessel support.
