Abstract

446,410. Electric hot-plates. ELEKTRO-GERATEBAU GES., and FISCHER, K., Oberderdingen, W³rtemberg, Germany. Dec. 4, 1935, No. 33564. [Class 39 (iii)] In an electric hot-plate provided with heating resistances c embedded in grooves therein, the central zone of one third to one half of the external diameter of the plate is depressed so that it does not act as a supporting surface for a utensil on the plate and also is made thinner than the rest of the plate. The central zone may be formed by a disc i cast in the metal of the plate. The hot-plate may be formed of two concentric sections a and a<1> joined by a ring m of sheet metal cast in both of the sections. A ring o forming a support for the plate is cast in section a<1>. In an alternative construction, the whole of the plate is made in a single casting.
