Abstract
490,880. Electric hot - plates. CHALLET, E. Oct. 21, 1937, No. 28780. Convention date, Jan. 13. [Class 39 (iii)] An electric hot-plate 1 is provided with a spiral channel containing a heating element 2 extending throughout the entire length of the channel which extends over the entire area of an annular zone of the plate, and the thickness of this zone, reckoned from the upper plane surface of the plate to the nearest point of the channel, is reduced along a radial line from the centre of the annular zone towards the outer and inner edges of the latter. The heating plate may be annular, in which case its central opening is filled by an accordion-shaped metal web.
