[Class 87(i)] [Also in Group XXIII] In a modification of the laminated floor board of the parent Specification, comprising a main part of the board having an upper wearing layer 1 of veneer strips with the grain transversely of the longitudinal direction of the board and a supporting wood layer 2, 3, 4 preferably of bars glued to the wearing layer and preferably slotted at 11, the board is provided on one or both edges with a one-piece edge strip 5 rabbetjointed at 6, 8 only to the supporting layer and glued to the board to cover the longitudinal side faces of both the wearing and supporting layers, the said edge strip having on its outer side a tongue or groove 7. A veneer layer 9 may be glued to the under face of the board and also between the wearing and supporting layers, whilst when the edge strip has a tongue on the inside face the transverse width of said tongue may be greater than that of the groove on the outside and the groove may extend to the base of, or into, the tongue.
