Abstract

627,995. Lubricators. ATELIERS DE CONSTRUCTIONS MECANIQUES ARMAND COLINET. Oct. 9, 1946, No. 30193. Convention date, Oct. 27, 1945. [Class 12 (iii)] In an automatic air-line lubricator comprising a lubricant chamber which passes lubricant through a filter pad provided with an adjustable compressing screw, and thence to the air-line via at least one passage of relatively small cross-section, the compressing screw is adjusted through the filling opening of the chamber. An air-line lubricator of two-part construction has an oil chamber 3 surrounding an air conduit and containing a felt pad 4 housed in a cup member 5 which has a perforated flange 6. A notched headed nut 8 operable through the filling vent which is normally closed by a plug 15, is arranged to compress the felt pad 4 against a wall 7 of the oil chamber, so as to regulate the flow of lubricant which seeps by a capillary action into a narrow passage 10. The passage 10 which connects the oil chamber with a narrow passage 9 leading to the air conduit 11, is throttled by a needle valve 12 which is disposed in a bore running parallel to the axis of the lubricator such that when the lubricator is connected to an air-line, the needle valve is inaccessible. After adjustment, the needle valve 12 is secured in position by a spring-ring 13 arranged in an annular groove in the conduit 11.
