[Class 37] [Also in Group XL (b)] A wavemeter includes a coaxial resonator 1 and 11 tuned by means of a variable capacity, one electrode of which is formed by one end of the inner conductor 11 and the other electrode of which is an adjustable member 7, means 25 being provided to indicate when the apparatus is tuned to resonance. The latter may comprise a microammeter 25 connected to the two members of the resonator by connections including a crystal rectifier 24, or may simply consist of a neon or incandescent flash lamp. The member 7 is moved by a micrometer screw controlled by a head 4 bearing graduations indicating the frequency of the energy at resonance.
