Abstract

625,976. Valve amplifying circuits. SPERRY PRODUCTS, Inc. June 26, 1946, No. 19097. Convention date, June 28, 1945. [Class 40 (vi)] In an electronic circuit in which a periodic signal generator is synchronized with the A.C. supply which energizes the valves, the A.C. power component in the output of a valve is neutralized by an out-of-phase injected voltage so that the signal alone appears in the output. The Figure shows an arrangement in which trains of oscillations from a generator 10 are amplified by an A.C. operated valve T, the supply frequency component being removed from the output of the valve by feeding in a balancing voltage derived from the anode circuit of an A.C. operated valve T<1>. Alternatively, the balancing voltage may be derived from the supply (as in Figs. 1 and 2, not shown). The trains of oscillations are synchronized with the positive half-cycles of the supply 11 by means of a synchronizing device 12.
