Abstract

625,960. Wrenches. HORROCKS, J. March 28, 1947, No. 8400. [Class 61(iii)] A wrench for re- moving screw-on lids or stoppers comprises a substantially square plate 1 having a hand grip 3 and a slot 4 with recesses 5 for adjustably receiving the pivot pin 6 of an elbow shaped lever 7 having a hand grip 8. The lid or stopper is gripped between the serrated edge 11 of a round hole 2 in the plate 1 and the serrated edge 10 on the jaw 9 of the lever 7, the latter being adjusted in the slot 4 according to the size of the lid or stopper to be unscrewed. The part 12 of the plate is raised to allow the serrated edges 10 and 11 to lie opposite one another.
