625,290. Testing valves before putting into service. ZINI, P. P., and BOTTINI, D. P. Nov. 5, 1946, No. 32874. [Class 135] Means for detecting leakage in pneumatic valves comprises a fitting 1 adapted for connection at its end 4 to a valve to be tested, a rubber &c. washer 5 providing fluid - tightness, and a glass tube 6 containing water or other liquid 7 com-. municating with the valve through a passage 3 and a ball check valve 17 loaded by a flat spring 18 having a stop 19. The glass tube is sealed by washers 13 and is secured by a sleeve 8 cut away at 9 so that escaping air may be seen bubbling through the liquid, such air passing subsequently through a tube 14 and filtering or liquidabsorbing material 16 to a vent 11.
