Abstract
624,747. Induction heating. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd., and BURTT, K. M. April 18, 1947, No. 10403. [Class 39(iii)] [Also in Group XXXV] Induction heating apparatus comprises a high frequency transformer having a primary winding 7 forming a part of a thermionic valve oscillator circuit; and secondary windings 10 and 11, permanently mounted about winding 7, having terminals 14-16 to which alternative heating applicators may be connected. Terminal 16 is common to both secondaries, and applicators are connected between terminals 14 and 16, or 15 and 16. Winding 11 is preferably of strip material wound flat, and winding 10 is a single turn of cylindrical form. A further winding, connected to the grid of the valve oscillator circuit may be placed within winding 7.
