623,954. Artificial teeth. SEVEILHAC, F., SEVEILHAC, P. CAZENEUVE, L. and CATHARINA, P. June 4, 1947, No. 14813. Convention date, June 4, 1946. [Class 81(ii)] A device for securing a denture comprises a socket fixed thereto, a resilient plug removably held in the socket and a clip, for gripping an adjacent natural tooth, embedded in the plug. In one form a suitably shaped plate 2, Fig. 1, is provided for attachment to the denture and carries a narrow socket 1, see also Fig. 3. The spring clip 3, shaped as shown, has its lower part embedded in a resilient plug 10 which can be removably pressed into the socket, where it is retained by friction and located by a depression 5 in the outer wall of the socket. In use, the clip 3 may open from the shape shown in full lines to that indicated by dotted lines 3a. In a modified form, see Figs. 5, 6, 7 (not shown) the socket is made wider, perpendicular to the plate 2, and accommodates a double clip.
