Abstract

623,159. Saddles. BROOKS & CO., Ltd., J. B., and BISSELL, A. T. April 23, 1947, No. 10812. [Class 136 (iii)] In means for tensioning the tops of cycle saddles of the kind wherein a nose piece depending from the top is movable by means such as a screw bolt passing through a shackle on the saddle underframe, the nose piece is slidably supported upon side pieces of the shackle. The metal nose piece 3 riveted to the saddle peak is supported by the side pieces 13 of a shackle 10 connected to the underframe 2, the screw 6 passing through holes in the vertical parts of the shackle. Tensioning is effected by a nut 7 bearing against part of the shackle. The screw 6 may be secured at the peak end by a projection 14 on the shoulder 11 which abuts into a flange 3b of the nose piece.
