[Class 135] A fitting, for temporarily replacing the closure member, spindle and top portion of a water tap when these are removed for repairs, consists of a threaded actuating spindle a, Fig. 2, carrying a valve plug b and engaging with a sleeve g, a conical bush h of resilient material, e.g. rubber, surrounding the lower part of the sleeve, and a nut k threaded on the sleeve and adapted to compress the bush and thus hold the fitting securely in the tap casing.
