621,535. Extruding. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP PHILIPS' GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN. Jan. 23, 1947, No. 2152. Convention date, Dec. 7, 1943. [Class 83 (iv)] In a method of making an article by extruding a blank 8 between a plunger 4 and die 5, lubrication of the work is facilitated by roughening the surface of the blank so as to form small depressions, each of which acts as a container for the lubricant. The roughening may be formed by knurling, as shown in Fig. 1.
