Abstract

620,294. Waterproof capes. MEADE, L. E., and PAGET, Ltd., J. C. Feb. 11, 1947, No 3973. [Class 141] A waterproof cape comprises a central rectangular portion 1 with a neck aperture 2 and adapted to cover the front and back of the wearer and two triangular side pieces 4, 5. As shown the aperture 2 is provided with a collar band 3 and has an inclined reinforced slit 14, provided with suitable fastening means, extending from it. Thumb loops 12 are sewn into the front seam 6 and waist tapes .13 to the back seams 7. In alternative constructions, the wide edges of the central portion may be curved or formed so that the central portion is wider or narrower across the shoulders than at the bottom.
