[Class 36] Transmission cables are made by cabling together a number of coaxial pairs, the outer conductor of each pair consisting of one or more conductive tapes applied helically over the core, so that the pitch of the helix increases to infinity during the twisting together of two or more of the pairs. The individual outer conductors may be made of bands overlapping each other, or with adjacent edges touching each other, but applied so that adjacent edges will glide against each other during the cabling process.
