Abstract

In a method of metallizing fabricated asbestos, zinc or aluminium or a zinc or aluminium alloy powder is sprayed upon the surface of the asbestos by a pistol in which compressed air or gas is used to eject the metal in a stream passing through or adjacent to a flame sufficiently hot to sinter the metal to the surface. A "Schori" pistol may be used. Specifications 432,831, 526,649 and 532,437, [both in Group XXIX], are referred to.
