Abstract

617,180. Spray-producers, STEVENS, A. H. (Steiner Sales Co.). April 12, 1946, No. 11273. [Class 69 (iii)] [Also in Group XXVIII] A spray device comprises a container having a flexible plug, a valve for introducing compressed air or other fluid, a spray jet with controlling means arranged within a single tubular element, and a control lever on the outside of the container. A spray head 19 with diagonal grooves 20 is a push fit within a nozzle 14 which is screwed to a tube element 2 mounted diametrically within the container 1 of the sprayer. The tube element 2 houses a spring-loaded valve 12, controlling the jet, operated by a rod 8 sliding through a gland 9. A thumboperated lever 27 is pivoted on the rod 8 and co-operates with a fulcrum 28 attached to the container. The container may be filled through a plug 42, and air under pressure introduced through a motor tyre valve 45.
