Abstract

682,631. Spray-producers. GRAHAM, T. T. July 27, 1950 [Aug. 10, 1949], No. 18782/50. Class 69 (iii). A spray liquid container 10 includes a tubular housing 13 for a pressure gas capsule C, which is pierced by a pin 26 on a screwed plug 23 to put the liquid under pressure and to force it through an eduction tube 18. A portion of the pressure gas enters the tube 18 at 21 and mixes with the liquid in a chamber 43 before both are ejected from a valve controlled outlet orifice 30. The valve comprises a ball 35 carried by a cylindrical plunger 36 normally held in the forward or closed position by a spring 38, and is manually operated by a pivoted lever 40. An orifice 17 controls the quantity of liquid supplied to the container during its filling in the inverted position through the tubular housing. The pin 26 includes an overlapping prong 26b and a longitudinal groove 26c.
