[Class 122 (i)] [Also in Group XXVIII] In a revolving-radial cylinder pump, the driving shaft 4 is provided with flats 5 from which extend projections 8 to which the pistons 14 are attached. A member 10 slides on a flat 5 and has a spherical seat for the piston that is held in place by a nut 11 engaging a washer 12 having a spherical seat pressed against a similar seat on the piston. A resilient member 13 tends to retain the piston and member 10 in alignment. To relieve the rotor 2 from lateral thrust, an equalising thrust derived from the suction or delivery pressure may be provided.
