Abstract

614,496. Coat hangers. LEWIS, R. July 16, 1946, No. 21264. [Class 52 (v)] A coat hanger comprises an arched coat-supporting yoke 1 and a gapped crossbar 5, 6 extending between the ends of the yoke and furnished with a guide piece 13 leading upwardly to one side of the gap to facilitate the insertion of a garment to hang over the crossbar. As shown the guide piece extends obliquely downwardly parallel to the chamfered end 16 of the member 6 leaving a passage 14 leading to the gap 7 in the crossbar.
