A skirt and like hanger has two longitudinal slots 17 formed in the yoke 11 to receive the spring bows 18 of spring bow clips which can grip on a skirt or the like. The open end of each slot is closed by a wood screw 20. In a modification the slot is formed between the underside of the hanger and a plate or rod attached thereto.
