Abstract

220,495. Crockett, D. Oct. 8, 1923. Grips, friction. -- A suspender for clothing, curtains, &c., of the type comprising a fork and an arm pivoted to one limb of the fork to engage by gravity the other limb and thus grip an article inserted between the two limbs, is provided with a screwed shank a<4> by means of which it can be fastened into wood &c. The arm e may be made of wire bent to the form of a ring and may carry a roller g<1> for gripping and a releasing end e<4>. A hook b<1 >may also be provided on one limb a, or a plurality of forks each with a gripping arm on one limb and a hook on the other may be used.
