Abstract
614,444. Boxes. SOC. DE CARTONNAGE D'ECHANTILLONAGE ET DE RELIURE D'AUBERVILLIERS (S.C.E.R.A.). April 26, 1946, No. 12687. Convention date, Nov. 20, 1944. [Class 18] A box is formed by folding the margins of a cardboard blank to give sides of double thickness which interlock at the corner joints. Marginal flaps 5, 7 are bent up at right angles to the box bottom and are folded to lie against each other, extensions 11 of the flaps 7 resting on the box bottom. Flaps 14 are bent at right angles to the sides so formed and are engaged between flaps 4, 6, folded to constitute the end walls. Extensions 10 of the flaps 6 lie on the box bottom and their ends are engaged under the extensions 11. The flaps 4, 5 are joined by corner pieces 16 which are folded and tucked in between the flaps 4, 6. An extension of one side of a lid may be glued to a flap 5 or 7, or a lid may be formed from an extension of one flap 5, the flap 7 and the extension 11 on that side being omitted. The lid alternatively may be formed in the same manner as the box or a separate lid may have flaps similar to the flaps 14, which flaps, extending from the side of the lid resting on the flap 7, would be enclosed between flaps 4, 6.
