614,405. Clip fastenings. FINCH, H. L. Sept. 13, 1945, No. 23633. [Class 44] [Also in Group X] In a ceiling construction in which runners 3, Fig. 7, are suspended from joists by clips such as 19 and support two superposed layers of slabs or tiles (see Group X), the bottom layer 2 is suspended from inwardly and upwardly extending base flange 10 by clips 23 having stops 24 and integral with or fitting into the ends of T bars 22 engaging in grooves in the tiles 2. Several forms of clips and T bars are described, e.g. the clip 33, Fig. 15, may be used with the T bar 38, Fig. 16. An alternative form of T bar is shown in Fig. 18. Adjacent edges of the upper layer of slabs may be connected by a snap-on clip 14, Fig. 6.
