612,995. Sliding-clasp fasteners. CORNER, G. H. C., and LIGHTNING FASTENERS, Ltd. June 13, 1946, No. 17729. [Class 44] In a slider for a sliding-clasp fastening of the kind having a body part of die-cast alloy or moulded plastic material and a cover-plate of anodized aluminium or alloy suitably coloured, the cover-plate 2 is provided with a bridgepiece or cap 3 formed integrally therewith by pressing and adapted to receive lugs 8, 9 on the slider body 1. The cover-plate is secured to the body by adhesive and/or mechanical means, for example, recesses 10, 11 in the lugs into which the sides of the cap are indented, and a tongue 12 bent round the slider body.
