[Class 52(i)] A support A for a seat cushion is provided with hinges secured to its undersurface the free leaves C of which are interconnected by springs G and are provided with extensions D hooked to chains K or other links for connection to the seat frame. Steadying brackets E may be secured to the hinge leaves C and provided with guards F surrounding the chains K. Leather connecting links may be used in lieu of chains and may be secured to the hinge leaves C by plates having curved ends upon which the leather links bear.
