Abstract
612,469. Knitting needles. LANGBART, R. V. May 24, 1946, No. 15811. [Class 74(ii)] [Also in Group XIX] A counting device for use in knitting comprises two complementary and cooperating parts, each consisting of an inner cylinder a with end flange a<1> and outer cylinder b, the two being concentric and relatively rotatable, the head e<1> of a knitting needle e being housed partly in one cylinder b and partly in the other. Each pair of cylinders is held together freely for relative rotation by a metal sleeve d having a projection d<1> engaging a groove a<2> in the cylinder a and a bent part engaging a flange b<1> of the corresponding cylinder b. The two co-operating parts are held together by a locking ring f, having a screw-threaded portion f<1> engaging a threaded portion of one cylinder b and a part f<2> bearing against a shoulder of the other cylinder b.
