[Class 135] [Also in Group XXI] A system for storing and dispensing carbon dioxide &c. under pressure comprises a container 10 closed by a spring-pressed valve 15 operable by an integral piston head 20 under the pressure of the fluid in the container 10 through the pipe 30 when a pilot valve 31 is opened. The valve 31 comprises a head 70 on a hollow stem 69 which when screwed down engages a member 65 to close the bore 71, then depresses the member 65 against a spring 59 to open the valve 50 by engagement therewith of the part 64. When the valve is closed, the chamber 21 is open to the air through ports 47, 57, 62 and bore 71. The container 11 is operated directly through the pipe 32 and the container 12 through the pipe 32 and a pilot valve 35 controlling a pipe 30 connecting the container to the piston head 20. As shown, the containers are provided with delivery means 18. In a modification, the containers 11, 12 are controlled by the delivery pipe of the container 10, the pipe 32 being omitted.
