[Class 144' (i)] The coned portion of the wheel disc from which the rim-supporting tongues a are struck is provided with a peripheral flange a<SP>2</SP> for snapengagement by a cap c adapted to cover the main portion of the disc. The arrows indicate alternative directions in which the tongues may be bent out of the disc. For stiffening purposes, the tongues may be formed with flanges a<SP>3</SP>, and the intermediate portions of the discs with ribs a<SP>4</SP>.
