Abstract

543,723. Fastenings. ESCHER WYSS MASCHINENFABRIKEN AKT.-GES. Nov. 4, 1940, No. 16067. Convention date, Nov. 2, 1939. [Class 44] [Also in Group XXXIII] A detachable hoop 4, Fig. 2, for the hub 1 of an airscrew engages the channelled rim 5', 5' of a disc 5 on the hub, and is secured by a resilient band 6 having radial projections 7 which are pushed through holes in the hub and rim. The overlapping ends of the band may be secured by a cotter, or a stud 9 which is threaded into a boss 10 on the support. Alternatively, the ends of the band abut and are secured separately to the support. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also the following: A ring 11, Fig. 5 (Cancelled) has flanges which engage flanges 14, 15 on the hood 12 and a disc 13 thereon. The overlapping ends of the band are connected by a stud 16. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
