Detaching from, and attaching to, permanent hubs.-Relates to detachable wheels of the kind comprising a detachable locking ring for securing the wheel to a hub disc carrying studs which pass through holes in the locking ring, the locking ring having segmental slots to allow rotation, and consists in enclosing the nuts c<1> on the studs c by a plate a formed with hollow projections b corresponding in number and position with the studs c. Studs e on the underside of the plate a fit the enlarged ends f of the slots in the locking disc h to prevent axial movement, and spring-controlled hook bolts fix the plate a in position on the wheel d, jointing rings i, i being fitted to exclude dust. A circular groove n may be formed in the outer edge of the plate a to facilitate attachment to the wheel d.
