608,689. Refrigerating. GENERAL MOTORS CORPORATION. Feb. 27, 1946. No. 6116. Convention date, March 1, 1945. [Class 29] Compression apparatus. The motor 2 driving the compressor 3 has a cut-out 14 operable in response to excessive temperature of the refrigerant leaving the compressor on its way to the condenser 9. The compressed refrigerant is passed through a superheat removing coil 4 surrounding the motor-compressor casing 1 and discharged into the casing 1 at 7. Entrained lubricant separates out from the partially cooled refrigerant within the casing 1 and the gas passes through line 8 to the condenser 9. The cut-out 14 may be manually or automatically reset and is in series with an overload relay 17.
