Abstract

1,194,006. Refrigerating. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. 23 Aug., 1967 [25 Aug., 1966], No. 38748/67. Heading F4H. [Also in Division F1] A refrigerating system includes a rotarypiston compressor in a casing 1, a refrigerant condenser 21, a capillary tube 22, an evaporator 18 and a capillary tube 46 through which a proportion of the condensed refrigerant enters the compressor at the beginning of each compression phase so as to reduce the temperature of the compressed refrigerant flowing from the compressor through the casing towards a pipe 20 and thereby cooling an electric motor within the casing. The condensed refrigerant enters the working chamber of the compressor by way of a passage (40, 41), Figs. 1 and 2 (not shown), which is controlled by a plunger (30) engaging with the piston (11).
