Abstract
1434927 Refrigeration SVENSKA ROTOR MASKINER AB 24 April 1973 [27 April 1972] 19655/72 Heading F4H A refrigeration plant including a condenser 14 and an evaporator 16 is provided with independent low-pressure and high-pressure meshing-screw compressors 10A, 10B driven by electric motors 26 through a step-up gear 28 and directly, respectively. Oil from a separator 12 and cooler 18 is fed by a pump 20 to the compressors, the quantity supplied to the compressor 10A being restricted to be sufficient only for lubrication. The compressor 10B is of the oil-flooded type in which the oil additionally serves to cool the refrigerant during its compression. To cool gaseous refrigerant compressed by the compressor 10A, liquid refrigerant is supplied to the compressor through a conduit 34 from the condenser 14.
