608,522. Locks. AKTIESELSKABET WITTENBORG'S AUTOMATFABRIKER. Feb. 25, 1946, No. 5877. Convention date, Feb. 24, 1945. [Class 44] For locking the bolt of a lock in the shot or withdrawn position by means of a key, a pivoted locking arm 8 is provided operated by a lever 13 on the lock barrel. A spring-loaded pin 11 engages the point 12 of the arm to force it into one of two extreme positions in one of which it is disengaged from a bolt actuating stud 3 mounted on the axle 'of the operating knob. In the other position the stud 3 is held by recesses 17 or 19 on the arm 8 locking the bolt in the withdrawn or shot positions respectively so that it cannot be moved even by the operating knob. The arm 8 has a recess with sloping edges 15, 16 for engagement by a web 14 on the lever 13. The upper edge 15 ends in a stop 18 for the web. Specification 608,523 is referred to.
