606,328. Centrifugal fans. MASCHINENFABRIK OERLIKON. March 11, 1946, No. 7577. - Convention date, May 8, 1945. [Class 110 (i)] An arrangement for preventing surging in a centrifugal compressor by throttling a crosssection on the suction side thereof, comprises a cylindrical slide valve 1 adapted to move in the axial direction parallel to the axial direction of the compressor. It is stated that the valve 1 may be operated manually or automatically in accordance with the output of the compressor. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 392,968.
