[Class 44] The bolt of a cycle lock which slides through its housing h to project between adjacent spokes of a wheel is hollow or formed with a longitudinal recess to receive a key introduced through a keyhole v in one end and is provided with apertures q, r, s at its sides to receive spring-influenced noses 26, 27 disposed in the housing h. The noses are pressed back by the key on rotation to allow the bolt to slide. The bolt has within it a spring-influenced plunger y which must be pressed back before the key can reach its effective position longitudinally. Supplementary slots u, t may be formed in the bolt so that various combinations of stops may be provided on keys for different locks. The housings h is carried by a frame a for clamping to a fork or like parts of the cycle frame. As shown, the bolt is of parallelepipedon form consisting of a portion n forming five sides of the parallelepipedon and the base of a U-shaped portion o forming the other side.
