[Classes 120(ii) and 120(iii)] A yarn winding machine having there in a plurality of winding units and bobbin supplying mechanism therefor and means for causing relative travelling movement between the units and the supplying mechanism is characterised by the provision of a cam adapted to be contacted by the yarns of the successive winding units to deflect each such yarn into position to be engaged by an end portion of a new bobbin supplied by the supplying mechanism. The cam is preferably so located that it is engaged by the yarn as it extends between the thread guide of each unit and the already discharged filled bobbin of that unit. The invention is particularly described as applied to the machine described in Specification 604,354. Specification 522,664 also is referred to.
