Abstract
6 0 2,8 0 9. Cultivators. CHARRUES MELOTTE SOC. ANON. July 5, 1945, No. 17129. Convention date, July 31, 1939. [Class 6(i)] Relates to cultivators working the ground between rows of plants. According to the invention the tools are carried on sliding rods guided by discs or rollers on spindles freely rotating on the cultivator frame. In the form shown in the figure a tool 2 is adjustably secured to a rod 3 which is movable vertically in guides formed by discs 16 and 17 rotating freely on hollow spindles 18 and 19 carried by a support 20 secured to the main frame of the implement. The spring 28 executes a downward thrust on the rod 3. The arm 9, pivoted at 10, carries wheel 8 and is connected to a rod 11 having a screw threaded extremity 12 by means of which the position of the wheel can be adjusted with respect to the tool.
