[Class 6 (i)] An agricultural implement employing a plurality of ridgers or other tools, comprises a vertically adjustable member secured to a tractor and carrying, for each tool or tools, two spaced vertical members each connected by vertically spaced parallel links to a tool-carrying frame, each pair of vertical members having journalled therein an adjustable shaft carrying a lever arm, the other end of which slidably receives a spindle connected to the tool-carrying frame, a spring being arranged around the spindle, between the frame and lever arm. In the construction shown, a frame member or tool bar a, which can be raised: and lowered by hand or power, is fitted to the front or to the rear of a tractor. Across the width of the bar are mounted a plurality of pairs of vertical members b; to each of which is pivoted an upper and a lower link c. The four links associated with each pair of members b are interconnected by a frame d, thus forming a parallel linkage whereby each frame d; which carries a tine f and a ridger body e, has freedom of movement in a vertical plane. Each frame is fitted with a supporting wheel k which is vertically adjustable. Downward pressure is exerted on each frame d by a spring j, the lower end of which engages the frame while, the upper end bears on an arm h pivoted on a shaft g journalled in a number of members b<1> extending from parts b<2> connecting, members b. The spring surrounds a spindle i projecting from frames d. The shaft may be adjusted' angularly, whereby the pressure of the various springs on their respective frames may be varied. In modifications, three links, two upper and one lower, or one upper and two lower are provided.
