Abstract

602,359. Cycle handle-bars. SARACCHI, V. A. P. Aug. 21, 1945, No. 21392. [Class 136 (iii)] In a cycle steering handle each end 2 of the handle bar a is reduced in cross-section and has resiliently mounted thereon a hand grip b of a greater cross-section, the resilient mounting being provided by means of leaf spring arrangements c, d arranged between the inner surface of the hand grip b and the outer surface of the reduced portion 2 of the handle bar and in diametrically opposite positions with respect to the internal surface of the hand grip. The leaf spring arrangement c, d comprises elliptic spring members 5, 10 respectively secured to the hand grip b and similar spring members 6, 11 secured to the end 2 of the handle bar a. Both spring members are jointed at their end portions by means of rolling joints 9, 12. An elastic cap 4 encircles the handle bar and is connected to the hand grip forming a closure member for the inner end of the hand grip.
