Abstract

590,287. Mudguards BLUEMEL BROS., Ltd., and BLUEMEL, F. W. March 30, 1945, No. 8060. [Class 136 (i)] Cycle mudguard stays 21 are secured adjacent to the outer surface of a mudguard 10 by screws 18 which pass through holes 13 in the latter and are provided with diametrical slots 20 to receive the extremities of the stays, nuts 22 being provided, the screws and nuts engaging the inner surface of the guard or an abutment 11, the length of the slots in a direction axially of the screws being greater than the diameter of the stay extremities and the arrangement being such that on tightening the nuts the screws are displaced along their axes relative to the stays which are thus secured tightly to the guard.
